Audio not working :S
XevonarinXevonarin 1212622858|%e %b %Y, %H:%M %Z|agohover

Hey guys.

Installed Leopard on my ASUS Laptop and so far, only 2 problems (May be 3, haven't tested video drivers yet)

I am running a Realtek High Definition Audio card and cannot find the correct driver for it. The system info section says I have no built-in audio.

Second, how can I change my resolution? It appears to be in 1024x768 and I want it in 1280x800 :/

Thanks :)

UPDATE: Only resolution available is 1024x768 and it looks hideous on my widescreen. Heeelp!

UPDATE2: Sound does work, but when I plug in my headphones or my speakers… silence… help?

I AM A N00B (mostly), so feel free to correct me if i am wrong here….

what audio vendor ID do you have? is it sigmatel, realtek, creative, ac'97 ? I used HDAPAtcher to "fix" my audio, but it still does not show in profiler… but you need to know what "dump" to put into it, I can now use any audio port, and BlueTooth Audio.

your resolution will be available with proper kext "drivers" (NVidia, Intel GMA, ATI), i used iHackintosh NVidia Driver (killed shut down, re-start.. have to hold power button) and this enables QE so other apps work as well.

I Dual boot Mac OS X 10.5.2 via Leo4All v1 (kept getting kernel panic with 2 and 3) and Windoze Vista (Ultimate? what did I gain?) I prefer MAC !!!! (although Novell 6.x Network @ Work is painfull …..

My audio card is 'Realtek High Definition Audio' (No, it will NOT run on AC97 drivers).

How do I get these proper kext drivers?

I will stick to Vista for now, Leopard is rather glitchy and unstable so I will fix everything before I start using it again :S

EDIT: I used that first driver in the list and as I said, Headphone port didn't work but laptop speakers did. OSX screwed up and I had to reinstall it and I used the AC97 Drivers. No sound at all. I just reinstalled Vista and will pop OSX on my other partition soon. How should I go about doing a dual boot?
