Zephyroth is calling all AMD OSx86 Users to test his new AMD Software Update Beta.
This Application is able to download Software Updates & modify them by searching and applying cpuids and decrypting encrypted files.
AMD Hackintosh users are now able to install new software updates with a single click instead of having to work step by step with the terminal.
However, this is still unreleased & a beta version. Many improvements need to be done before it can be integrated into Zephyroth’s Future Release.
If you would like to test, make sure to create a spare partition with a fresh test installation.
You should not use this on your everyday partition yet!
From Zephyroth (For those of you that didn't know, AMD Update Software Utility), Enjoy

Notes ASU:
- If you launch the application, copy the application on the desktop and launch the application again, two instances of the app will be executed (I tried with Safari and some others app and its the same).
—-> I don't know how to avoid this behaviour.
- The description is good for almost all packages but as an example, I cannot retrieve the description of the Epson Drivers Update and prolly some others (at least for the moment).
- The default behaviour of the app is to patch all packages for AMD, I will not change this as the main purpose of the app is to be run on AMD. So the only remaining options are "Modify Only" (Download and modify but don't install) and 'Vanilla Installation" (to install without any modification like on a real Mac).
- If you try to install Leopard Graphics Update the package will be installed but will still be in the list of available updates.
But if you modify only and install but double-clicking the package the installation will be took into consideration. I don't know why.
- CPU autodetection is not yet implemented.
- Some progress bar are not yet implemented.
- mach_kernel is still removed instead of being patched (yeah I still don't know how to do this, I even don't know if it's possible …)
- Support for mpkg files is not yet implemented.
A lot of work must still be done.
