I have this system:
AMD x2 3800+
Chipset Nforce 4
GF 7900GT 256MB
AC97 Sound
80GB IDE harddisk

Well I installed Leo4Allv3 with the latest kernel by modbin chose at installation.

For sound I chose AC97. (Works!)
After the install I installed Nvidia extensions and nvinject for my GeForce 7900GT 256MB. (Works! QE, full resolution 1440x900)
My network card works with forcedeth driver

Everything works fine, but I'm using my old usb keyboard and I have a new PS2 keyboard but it doesn't work.
I'm using usb mouse.

So, how can I get my PS2 Keyboard working? I moved PS2Mouse and PS2Trackpad extensions but it doesn't works.

My report on installing v3 on my S32B BenQ notebook:

Installation went fine, without a hitch. Used default options and enabled Azaria or something sound drivers.

After install I was greeted with a nice movie and then some dude started talking. Audio works.
After selecting my location it seemed to get stuck in a loop. I used the login loop work around with success and logged in with root and setup a normal user account. My X3100 is working fine, CI/QE, Wifi works out of the box, the boot up delay (still waiting for root device) is gone.

The only issues I can report are:
- No laptop keyboard in/after installer, USB keyboard worked fine.
- Loop at initial login.
- Fan seems to be running at full speed, no processes taking a lot of CPU.
- Mouse weirdness, both with USB and touchpad sometimes all left clicks become right clicks, as sudden as it comes it also stops.
- Keyboard, USB keyboard work 100%, laptop keyboard does not do anything but works in single user mode, where after a few key strokes a randm letter will be appearing constantly, like wwwwwwwwwww, shutting down by pressing power button is the only fix.
- Applied some PS2 fix found on insanelymac forums, makes keyboard work in osx but with the same problem as above plus some more, pressing enter in a terminal results in a logout for example.

Guess the biggest show stopper is the weird mouse/keyboard stuff. The fan can be fixed I think. Also some temperature monitor software in the default install would be cool.

Any ideas on how to fix above issues will be tried by me and reported back here. Maybe a different kernel than the one selected by default? Hopefully I can try suggestions without doing a complete reinstall.. I dunno much about switching kernels, kexts, etc.. I'm a bit of a MacNoob..

I made a report with the system profiler with all my hardware specs for those who want to know. Tomorrow I will edit this post and put in the chip sets/hardware I got, I need some sleep now ;)

Intel chipset… and i dont know why my dell wont install leo4all V3
I put in the cd and i try to boot from it and it reboots… just like kalyway and TOH R2… i dont know why can anyone help me out i really want mac os x on my pc because windows is terrible…. ooo plz help me

Not to be the bearer of bad news but if you've tried to boot other leopard dvd's with all the switches..i.e. " -v"
you may be out of luck. My dell laptop is SSE2 and cannot boot a Leopard disk but runs tiger fine. Because you have a name brand pc opposed to a self built pc, it should be easy to find info on insanelymac. Check there. If it can be done or can't be done on your pc, you may have to stick with Tiger.

I had the same problem on my GX270 and upgraded the CPU to a version that supports SSE3. Make sure you upgrade your bios from Dell to their latest rev to support the newer CPU types. The installer now completes.

i have installed the V3 without any poblembs, after the restart i hear Music and the Voice from a Man about Mac OS and so on, but i do not see the screen to make further Option you Know…

If The Problem My NVidia Graphic Card. By the installation if take the new 10.5.2 KEXT. If i take the another Option for my Card, i see the the Desktop, but with a low Resolution (1024x768) and no Quartz extreme

Thanks for the great work! Its really amazing how you guys do this thing and I totally am beginning to fal head over heels with Mac.

I have recently installed Leo4All on my Acer Aspire 4520 and i have several problems.

1. My Lan isn't recognized so i cannot get online. My Ethernet controller: nVidia Corporation MCP67 Ethernet (rev a2)
2. My Audio does not work as well. MyAudio device: nVidia Corporation MCP67 High Definition Audio (rev a1)

I have already tried Nforcedeth but to no avail.

Hope u guys can help and really admire your work. Keep it up.

@1 the only way to get online is bluetooth modem. i just connected USB-Bluetooth and Nokia E51, it's work as far as your handset internet setting is correct. Yes, it is any cost. Because, Atheros Wifi loaded unsuccessfully.

@2 from Knoppix booting, I got that our chipset is known as Realtek ALC 862. But, I haven't seen the driver for it yet.

I have installed Leo4Allv2 and all works except Shutdown and some application would randomly crashed. (eg. iPhoto).

Now after installed v3, I have no more crashing problem which happened in v2.

However, I noticed that the following no more working.

1. Cannot mount any USB Devices. (eg. USB HDD, USB Digital Camera)
2. Restart no more working. Just enter sleep mode.
3. Not able to detect IDE HDD but only detect SATA HDD and DVDROM.

Should the above issues fixed, I will have a 100% working Leo4Allv3.

Pls help and advise.

Eddie, with patch applied installer freezes at disk util. without patch it installs successfully but on reboot it stops at HFS: created HFBT on Leopard. I've tried many burns and options at install. I've tried dual boot with xp, with vista and leo on it's own. Where am I going wrong. Kalyway installed no problem and with sound and wifi but was unusable due to apps constantly crashing. with v2 I never got past waiting for root, v2 install went ok but wouldn't boot. Please help.What went wrong?

Leo4Allv3 installs fine (with the nforce3 ppf).
Thanks for this release. The only problem i have is with my PNY Nvidia Geforce 6200 (0x022110de)
All NVinject kexts load (Says System Profiler) but no QE/CI and just 1024x768.

Leo4Allv3 runs great!

Specs: Asus M2A-VM motherboard (690g/sb600 chipsets)
2gb ram
Nvidia 8600 GT 256mb (using NVInject 0.2.0)
Onboard HD audio (using Azalia)
1 250gb SATA HDD (running with AHCI set in BIOS)
1 DVD-RW on IDE (using dcat's PCATA driver, found on Insanelymac.com forums - google it)
LAN worked with Leo4allv3 immediately after install

Worked fine with 10.4.8, except for the usual Nforce 590 caveats (no wired ETH, semi-broken sound).
With Leo4allv3:

• System won't boot install DVD from external USB
• System boots from internal IDE DVD reader and installs fine on internal IDE HDD
• System stuck in "waiting for root" loop after install

LOST! CONFUSED!
OSX obviously sees the IDE controller/HDD. I can boot the install DVD and the installed system appears as /dev/rdisk0s1. I can fdisk it, browse directories, change files… Oddly, though, the "Startup Disk" utility doesn't see the drive as eligible for startup status…
How is it possible for the boot kernel to not see the root device, when the install DVD can?

Forgot to mention; I definitely formatted the IDE drive as MBR the first time around, and dumbass kernel was still looking for UUID. Also, as a side note, platform=X86PC does nothing, as I can still see ACPI messages from the kernel. Some of the other boot flags also seem broken…

I have installed the V3 version of Leo4all on a Dell Dimension 310, and it is working flawlessly; well, almost flawlessly. I cannot get the audio to work.

Rather that piss around with it, I thought I'd just buy an aftermarket PCI sound card.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a card that is most likely to work with the Leo4All distro?

I would try the second option, version 1.3.0 without SATA DVD. This one has best compatibility of them all.

Ok i got a little more info about my problem (Nvidia 6200 PNY 128 MB not working)
Some say it works with the Titan driver. But for me Leo gets stuck booting if the NVDAResman.kext is enabled. With Titan and every Nvinject. It just doesnt load the graphical display.
Do i need this kext? Without it System Profiler says its loaded but no QE/CI and just 1024 :P

I'm using a 128MB AGP GeForce 6600 GT, and I finally got different resolutions to work on my display, but am still trying to get QE to work. How I got the resolutions enabled:

I installed with Leo4allv3 using NVinject 128 ver 0.2.0 and then replaced the resulting NVinject.kext with one I got from a Kalyway 10.5.2 install where I'd selected NVinject-128. I also copied over from that same Kalyway install these two kexts that weren't already in the Leo4allv3 install: NVDANV40Hal.kext and NVDAResman.kext.

I then, of course, did the following to all 3 kexts:

sudo chmod -R 755
sudo chown -R root:wheel

and then:

sudo rm -R /System/Library/Extensions.mkext

I'll update if I can get QE to work.

I didn't have any issues at all with leo4all V2, but V3 doesn't work… I have a ASROCK P4Dual-915GL (Worked fine with the Kalyway dists…) w/Nvidia 5200 Graphics card…. 2G/B ram. It can't find a USB device and can't find root device AFTER it formats the very HD (that is the Root Device…) Looks like for now anyway I'l have to go back to V2…

Hi, thanks for your release but I have a some trouble:
I have the Microsoft Digital Media Pro keyboard and the Microsoft Habu mouse (yep I know it's not the best devices for Mac :) ) when the installation reach the keyboard detecting step it's write "Can't detect the keyboard" then I press OK but when I log in and go to the System Preferences Keyboard & Mouse setting is MISSING :(

Yes, my keyboard and mouse work but I can't use ANY hot keys on keyboard it's not working :( and I don't know where I can adjust it.
Mouse also work too weird, it's very slow.

Everything is working nicely except 64bit support.

This is BAD(tm) since i need Java 6 (which is only available in a 64-bit version)

Is there something to be done?

The best thing you can do is wait for a 64-bit version to come out in the future. Nothing can be done at the moment. Every release is solely made for x86 instructions, that's why. You can disregard the Java update for now. =)

i have an Intel D945 GNT motherboard with a Pentium D 3 ghz processor, 4 gig ram, DVD drive on IDE master, 120 gig HD on IDE slave, x1900gt 256, and a network card. (all work fine using Leo4allv2 with some customization for the x1900gt)

Leo4allv2 works on this machine without booting problems.

Leo4allv3 DOES NOT… I get "waiting for root device" upon restart over and over and over…

I have used this motherboard since the beginning of the OSX86 project so it is not a question of whether OS X 86 will operate on this board.

Somehow Leo4allv3 is broken…

If I could fix this I would, but my computer expertise only goes so far.

Hi, after a successful install of Leo4Allv3 on my HP DV6040US, on the Darwin Bootloader I can see the two partitions, Windows XP and Leo4Allv3, and I can see that Leo4Allv3 is set to boot primarily since is already highlighted. But as soon as I press Enter on the Leo partition, I gives me the "…/com.apple.Boot.plist cannot be found" error.

Any help will be greatly appreciated :)

Ok, so I fixed the problem with the Boot.plist and also fixed the Permissions using the install disk. Now, when I press Enter on the Leo4Allv3 partition, to boot Leopard, I'm getting various error, like these for example:

disk0s2: I/O error

localhost rpc.statd[47]: can't open statd.notify pidfile: Invalid argument (22)

matching service count = 1

localhost kextd[10]: failed to open kernel link data file (/var/run/mach.sym) - Invalid argument

Any ideas?

Problem solved! The problem was the chipset kext that I chose on the installation disk. The one that works with my laptop is "NForce Test". Now, I can dual boot between Windows XP SP3 and Leo4Allv3.

The only thing missing on the Leo partition, which I don't see any support in this website or any other, is my graphics card. It's an NVIDIA GeForce Go 7200, Vendor: 0x10de, Device ID: 0x01d6, Revision ID: 0x00a1.

Other than that, everything works just fine!

Wait, I almost forgot the most important problem. Even though I picked "ForceDeth-V" in the installation disk, and it recognizes my ethernet card, when I plug the cable modem to my laptop, I don't have Internet access. On "Self-Assigned IP" I'm getting:

IP Address: 169.254.130.164
Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0

I tried using a manual ip settings, but didn't work.

Any help? Please.
