With few hours playing with V2 and V3 in my test machine, i successful install in a VMware Workstation 6.6 Beta RC2, in hardware machine V6.5, using Intel VT.
My host machine is a D35DP with BIOS 10J-2218 and Intel VT activated in BIOS, and a a Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600.

After install i have to fix boot that have the error "Still waint for the toor device" with this tip and Voilá!

Intel VT solves the question, but not all people have this option, like myself in my note, at home, etc…
For true, i only have ONE (1) machine with hardware virtualization….

:-(

Hey Everyone,

Install seems to go very smoothly until it is near completion (it says 2 minutes left) and then it completely freezes, unable to do anything.

Specs:
AMD Athlon 64X2 3.0GHz 6000+
EVGA Nvidia 7600GT 256 MB x2 (They are SLI'd together)
ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe Mobo
4GB PC6400 800MHz DDR2 (2x1GB Corsair, 2x1GB Crucial)
Samsung 150GB HD 7200RPM (1st Master IDE)
Samsung Writemaster CD/DVD+/-RW SATA
USB Mouse and Keyboard (Logitech MX518, Saitek Eclipse II)

I have these connected as well—one has XP installed and the other is Windows formatted. I have no intention of using these for OSx86:
Seagate 320GB 7200RPM SATA (System Disk)
Hitachi 500GB 7200RPM SATA

I also have a floppy disk/memory card reader connected (via FDD cable to mobo and internal USB connection for the card reader). I'll probably unplug these if I can't find a fix…

I feel as if I installed the correct drivers. Please correct me if I'm wrong:
Kernal 9.2.2 (I tried this first, then tried 9.2.0, resulted w/ freeze as well)
Nforce Test (my SATA DVD drive was working so I assumed to use this)
AC97 Audio (my comp supports both HD Audio and AC97)
Nvidia
ForceDeth-V

Left ACPI section blank (this installs 1.1.0 by default, no?)
Chose DDR800 for AppleSMBIOS
Chose to Keep FireWire
Left Power Management Blank
AMD System Fix is chosen (grayed out and selected)
Bootloader is grayed out and selected

Before the first install I allowed the installer to verify my installation disk, and there were no problems. The second time I skipped it, with the same results.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Hello,
I am trying to use a Leo4Allv3 ppf patch on a Leo4Allv2 DVD ISO. But everytime I patch the disc
using PPF-O-MATIC & BURNED DVD @ 1X or 4X RATE, it outputs a EBIOS error message while loading boot DVD disc.

I was not successful at loading the install disc, not even the boot options section. So I am wondering
if the ppf patch suppose to work for a Leo4Allv2 DVD?

**NOTE:
Using the V2 disc install works fine, but is not stable enough for me to use more then five minutes (reboots randomly.)

Its a real tease. :).

can anyone help?

HELPFUL INFORMATION

Leo4Allv2 (MD5: 6d4e68afb3486baec03b446fb0a5d711)
Leo4allv3 10.5.3 ppf patch

AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+
MSI K8N NEO4-F Motherboard (‎CK804 SMBus)

Maxtor 320gb Hard drive (IDE) - 2 Partition: First OSX and Second Ubuntu (EXT3)
Western Digital 160gb Hard drive (SATA) EXT3 Filesystem

Samsung 2 GB DDR
ATI Radeon X300SE (PCI Express)
Microsoft Digital Media Pro Keyboard (USB)
Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical (USB)
SAA7130 Video Broadcast Decoder (PCI TV CARD)
CK804 AC'97 Audio Controller
ADMtek NC100 Network Everywhere Fast Ethernet 10/100
VIA ‎IEEE 1394 Host Controller

I have a Dell Inspiron E1405 I think it's also called a 640m or something of the other but my laptop shows E1405 on it. I installed 2 gigs of G.skill PC2 5300 memory the best memory I could find for this laptop on it so besides that nothing has been touched. I know my laptop supports sse3 I ran cpuz before I even attempted to download a copy of this Leo4Allv3. MD5 checksum: 48b3bea091a9247238b6534098e102f9.

All the loading goes fine and I get to the welcome screen to accept the agreement and continue with the installation. I pick a partition to install on erase it and then create a new partition. Once I'm out of the disk utility I choose that partition after it asks me where to install and I click continue. This is where it goes to the next screen where it verifies the contents of the dvd to make sure everything is right before install I suppose. Well as soon as it starts to read it says it can't verify the contents and asks me to reboot. This is the 6th or 7th time I've reburned this dvd from two different iso images I download and I'm getting the same message. I thought the first iso might have gotten corrupt but it opened in poweriso and burned in poweriso just fine. I even tried burning it with nero and a couple other programs. I also tried at different speeds thinking it needed to be burned slow. Slowest speed was 4x so shouldn't have been no problem. When I burned with nero I asked nero to check the whole dvd after it was burned to make sure all contents were fine each time I burned it and everything went smooth on the burn.

I dunno what the problem is. I thought well maybe my cd-rom is going bad or something of that sort but it installs vista, any linux distro just fine. I've installed many on this laptop playing around and this is the first time I have had something tell me it can't read. I've never been able to install mac on any of my other machines because of compatibility but from the stats of my machine it seems all the hardware is just fine. Just some reason it won't read the contents of the dvd and if I tell it to skip that step it starts to install and it doesn't get far before it says it can't read again and stops. I dunno what is going on I thought you guys may be able to help me out here. I'd greatly appreciate it.

I took a screen shot of my device manager to show the stats of this machine to anyone that it might help out.

Hi,
I installed the 10.5.3 update (using the package created with the update utility) and everything works just fine, the only problem I found is that the monitor does not turn off anymore, I reapplied the video drivers I was using (Callisto version 6) and still no fix, I can have the screensaver running just fine but I would like to be able to turn the monitor off as it was working with 10.5.2..

Using Mac4allv3
HP Pavilion dv5224nr
Chipset Radeon Express 200m (PCIE)
2gb ddr memory
Turion AMD 2.2Ghz

Any idea/suggestion please let me know..

Thanks so much.

First of all i want to thank everybody who made it possible to run osx on normal pc hardware.

I have installed 10.5.2 V3 on my asus a8n sli deluxe with 4gb of ram, asus 8800gts 640mb gfx card, amd 4400 cpu etc, the first thing i found is that it's very problematic to get the 8800gts working fine, it took me very long time to install this and still i don't know how i managed it.

I have a 17" samsung lcd monitor and i have it working on 1280x1024 now but still the system crashes sometimes, on 1024x768 it won't crash. so i blame the vga drivers.

Could someone help me remove all the drivers and get them working stable? many thanks in advance for this one.

The second thing is: there all mac pro's work with intel cpu's, is it better to install it on intel systems? like the guide on hack attack, use a asus p5w dh deluxe motherboard with an intel core 2 duo cpu? are there any other motherboards / chipsets wich work without problems?

I really want to build a stable system for use with osx as my main os, please help me choose a good configuration of hardware or solve my crashing amd system.

Hi all

I just installed Leo v2 on my Asus c90s laptop (leo3 installs but then hangs on boot). At first glance everything seemed to be working, though I haven't fully tested it yet. There was only one resolution, so I installed NVinject-512.pkg from 0.1.3 folder (others did not work, including the ones for laptops), and after repairing permissions, finally have higher resolution BUT suddenly my internal keyboard is not detecded anymore, whereas before it was working fine. Tried extension repair utility, no luck. I've gone through whole installation process many times (which often crashes and needs serious reformatting) but still the same story.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi. I just installed Leo4all v3, and I'm having some issues. Installation went w/o problems, chose drivers for my chipset (Intel ICH7), my Nvidia graphics card, LAN and audio.
Well I tried this first on my regular hard drive and then on an external. Chose GUID, and formatted the way I was supposed to.
Still. -When i try to boot either of the disks, I can see all the stuff running down my screen (loading vanilla kernel v9.2.0), and then it all of a sudden turns black and my system restarts.

Any ideas on what I'm missing here?

Thanks.
