Hello, thanks for looking at this thread. I'm a new to mac OS but not new to computers. I know I'm suppose to be downloading an iso from somewhere but the only torrent i can find for leo4all v3 is one that ends up being a .ppf. The name of the torrent is Leo4All.V3.Jas.Patched.10.5.3. When I open it up it has a few rars compressed within eachother but there is no iso anywhere, only about a 500mb ppf. I looked up what a ppf is and it seems to be an iso patcher. So do I need a regular mac os dvd iso and then try to patch it with this??? or do i have to find v2 iso and patch it with this…. i'm so confuzed.

Hi, um, I don't have any DVDs available at the moment, and I was wondering.. Would it be possible to somehow copy all the files from the leo4Allv3-10.5.2.iso to a partition on the hard disk, boot from that, and then install to another, seperate partition? I have an AMD PC by the way. So, how would I go about doing this? I'm using Windows XP, just incase you needed to know.
Thanks, SH&E.

Welcome to the New Leo4All Forums!

When Eddie11c came up with the idea of a Universal Mac OS X Leopard release we (the administrators of the New Leo4All Forum) were astonished to hear that this was being developed. After taking the time to try the first few of his releases we were also amazed about the significant improvements that were being made after each release. Initially, when Eddie11c created his first release, WinLinMac01 became eager to test it out and was later motivated to create a Wiki as part of a new community known as the, OSx86-Leo4All Community, dedicated to Eddie11c. The Wiki followed great success detailing the issues that were revolving around the current release and solutions that were available for them. However, later this month, the Wiki experienced an overload of visitors which resulted in periodic lagging on the site. With the huge volume of visitors, posting on the forum integrated on the Wiki site, the numbers were simply unbearable. The Wiki needed continuous maintenance and other issues had to be resolved. The forum itself was disorganized. With this in hand, we have decided to utilize the Wiki as a Knowledge base Center from now on instead.

We have taken the opportunity to open a dedicated-Leo4All forum that will enable users to share their views about Leo4All, the issues they are facing, and much more, openly with us. We hope you enjoy the new look and freedom you are getting with this new site. Welcome to the New Leo4All Forum Website!

Thank you choosing Leo4All created by Eddie11c.

—The Team

Administrators:

Eddie11c
bhast2
Eemerge
WinLinMac01

Moderators:

R0GUE
Fleebailey33

This Site Is Still Under Construction!
Leo4all Forum

I can boot with the Leo4All v2 installation DVD and get into the installer fine, when I boot using the Leo4All v3 DVD I get the dreaded "Still waiting for root device".

I am working on a Dell Inspiron 1521, Turion AMD 64 x2. ATI

When booting in -v mode with the v3 DVD, Leopard loads the AppleVIAATADriver: VIA 8237 SATA, then wl0: Broadcom BCM4311, and hangs at "Still waiting for root device"

When booting in -v mode with the v2 DVD the same occurs but after the wl0: Broadcom BCM4311 line, Firewire OHCI, then waiting for boot device.

When I boot without verbose mode with the v2 it works fine, looks like it loads the AppleGenericPCATADriver … Anyway to force that from the DVD options in v3?
